Yo Yo! How's it goin??? Do I have a lot of catching up to do!!!! For the past month life has been nothing
but a rollercoaster (twice as big as the Titan) culminating in a 35 hour Greyhound bus ride north to Broome for sunshine
and better days.
I can't even explain what has happened in the past month or the adventures i've embarked upon and just
how aussie they are ;-) a quick rundown in no particular order- let's see, well, we got evicted from our house and i didn't
find out until about 2wks before hand and couldn't find anywhere to live. kiwi moved out and took all the furniture leaving
me alone in a 4bedroom house with no furniture for over a week. we have cement walls so it was a bit cold! my old boss at the
internet cafe got fired because he threw the cash register thru the window at the other guy who owns the place. i hooked up
with a surfer boy who was so hard core surf that he woke up at 6am to go surf and then came back and crawled in bed. i have
the sand to prove it. it's quite funny if you ask me. seriously, that's dedication to it... i've been promoted to media director at work and i'm taking on new responsibilities
everyday. it rocks! now if i can just get my work visa sorted and i won't be an illegal alien.
let's see what else? okay so couldn't find a place to live and so i decided to come to
broome with sara and decided like 2days before i left right? well i
was gonna ride with jay this boy that sara is seeing and then he told me that i had too much shit and wouldn't fit in his car.
people- you should see the amount of crap i have here in australia. what was i thinking and moreover why did my mom send me
the box. i mean i have blue trainers, red trainers, yellow trainers, my adidas and a pair of suede khaki trainers. really do
i need 12 pair of tennies? so whatever.
i plopped down the $260 to ride a bus and then boarded for my journey from hell. it
actually wasn't that bad. the
things I saw on my trip up north. we hit 2 kangaroos on the road as we were driving. they're known to jump in front of
moving vehicles. the stars and the vast amount of land i've seen is amazing. if it hadn't taken 35 hours to get here i
might have really enjoyed myself ;-)
so now i'm in broome and i've spent the entire day lounging by the beach. i have to get to work tomorrow and there
is a lot for me to do up here. this
place is fab though and the hostel yes meg at a hostel i'm staying at is more like a resort than anything. there is so much
green foliage it's crazy! what really sucks is there is also a 24 hour bar... well gonna run. just wanted to let ya'll
know i was still alive. based on some of the emails i've gotten you doubted me. i hope you guys are doing well! i'm thinking
good thoughts for all of you! talk to you soon!!!
