My aim was to get to canada but i had trouble with the car and had not yet crossed the border. I was on the blvd where i went to the dollar general to buy some items that may help me get back on the road. i needed something from a car garage so i stayed in the motel opposite the dollar general. Called the Niagara Falls Motel. The room was a double, 105 and i paid only $70 bucks, it was clean, recently remodeled as the bathroom looked as if had been installed yesterday. The motel had a pool but it was quite a cold day. What was great was the owner new some guys in the area who had a look at my car the next morning, got me up and running in no time.

The are many motels on the niagara falls blvd in New York, so sometimes you will find that you may reserve online and get a better deal when you are in the strip. Unless you are traveling on a holiday or a weekend, i would suggest calling a few motels in the area before you depart and you might find that rates are cheaper.

The motel i stayed at is very reasonably priced, i stayed there again on my way back from canada and it was cheapest. That time i booked via the website http://nfallsmotel.com/ which was a breeze. The owners have just acquired the property since moving to America from England. as they are new to the country they are going to keep prices low. Across the border canada is a much more happening place but this is a quiet retreat minutes away from the falls near family restaurants and outlet malls if you love bargain shopping!
