Well everyone im now in Hervey Bay which is one of those places where there is absolutely nothing to do!
Stayed here last night which turned out to be better than we thought as there was a quiz in the bar. It was funny
yesterday because i saw this girl in the hostel and i knew that i knew her - anyway turns out she went to Whickham Comp
but was 3 years below me!! cant believe this keeps happening!!
So me and ellie did the quiz with her and our team was
'2 non-blondes and barbie' Barbie appears to be my new nickname as chosen by Ellie due to a highlighting disaster by the
campest man ever in Brisbane.....as a result my hair is well Barbie coloured!!!
So anyway we came 2nd last in the quiz
which we were quite impressed with and got a free shot of beer for giving the silliest answer ever to one of the questions!
oops!! Off to Airlie Beach tonight on a 14 hour bus journey! Dont know if i told you that Kubey went ahead of us last week
which was really sad!
We spent a couple of nights with the stonehead (joking) in Noosa then she left!! there were tears!!
Anyway ellie and I stayed in Noosa another couple of nights, met some cool people and met up with the girls we keep bumping
into all the way up the coast.
I had some surf lessons which were wicked but now my legs and knees are battered and bruised!
Loved it so much tho and defo gonna have more lessons! Also saw a koala in a tree while we were there which was hilarious -
you had to be there! Oh and a kookaburra!! Just a Kangaroo to go now! We then went to Rainbow beach which was a town full of
crazy people - its so small that i think everyone's gone mad!
Anyway we did our Fraser Island 4 wheel drive safari from there.
Got put in the worst group ever which was just mine and Ellies luck! One irish girl whose face would have cracked if she smiled
and constantly looked at me and Ellie disapprovingly if we laughed, swore or made a joke! I was told on several occasions 'not
to lower the tone!' In Kaths words 'there was going to be a murder!' The tension was running high but luckily we camped with
another group at night who were younger and really fun so we sat drinking around the fire and trying to scare away the dingos
who come to steal your food! Got to do some beach driving which was so much fun as you slide everywhere, went to a gorgeous
lake, the champagne pools and saw loads of humpback whales! No sharks tho unfortunately - i would have fed the irish girl to
them if i'd had a chance!! Even bumped into Kubey there as she went a day earlier and it was so good to see her too!
Better
stop ranting now......of to Airlie tonight then are meeting up with Kath for the final time so no doubt there will be more
tears! looking forward to a good night out after spending 3 days with the Fraser island group from hell! Jus need to find a
job now! Email me all your news everyone, miss you all
Lots of love,
Bren
