Location: New Zealand

so i've finally arrived in new zealand after a wonderful 2 weeks in australia. the weather was absolutely amazing and the wedding was beautiful. we spent most of our time on the beach so that was always a bonus! perth is such a great place... i highly recommend it for anyone travelling to oz.

i got into auckland on thursday after and just hung out waiting for jamie to arrive in friday morning at 6am. it's hard to believe its been 5 months since we've seen each other but we totally picked up where we left off. things are going quite well.

we've been staying at the ACB hostel here in aucks and they've given us a great deal. $20/night for a double and they felt guilty about charging us that much!! it's great to have friends in high places!!

the location hasn't changed but the faces have. its a bit weird walking down queen street and feeling like i never left. its a good weird though. we've been busy catching up with mates and trying to take it easy at the same time. one of our mates is the GM of a bar down in the Viaduct (where the America's cup races where held) so we've been down there the past 3 nights. several rounds have been on the house so my bank balance is doing quite well!!

jamie and i have gotten our fill of kiwi food as we have been going full steam ahead. we had fish n chips with his sister the first night we were here and then its been pies galore, gallons of l&p - a local soda - and my personal favorite kebabs. we've done well but our waist lines aren't approving!

caught up with my mate sara today. she and i lived together 3yrs ago in fremantle and now she is working to residency here. it's been great catching up. chops comes in tomorrow and then we will be heading to heady's for a bbq. jamie is quite happy to see his "boyfriends" again. those three are dangerous. good fun but dangerous!!

so we're off to the bay of islands on monday. we'll be there for a week and spend most of it staying at his dad's house. i think we're going fishing as well. me fish? well you do what you have to i guess. jamie is still waiting to catch a record marlin so we'll see what happens.

then on the 27th we are off down to christchurch to set up shop and start living. we'll be staying with andy and liza at first so that will be wicked. i'm stoked to see them again as well and at least i'll have a girl to play with when we first arrive.

that's about it from the antipodean world. things are going quite well and i'm just so happy to be back. not sure what i'll do when the snow arrives, but i'm sure i'll manage.
