On the West Coast, Vancouver is consistently name one of the most livable cities in the world. With its mythic landscape along the water and mountain backdrop, Vancouver is a spectacular city of glass and modern architecture.
Make sure to stop in Stanley Park with its 1000 acres of forest and dramatic five mile seawall trail where residents rollerblade, jog and promenade through much of the year due to the region's temperate weather.
50 miles away on Vancouver Island, the city of Victoria is a highly picturesque stop. Preserved Victorian and Georgian architecture gives Victoria a feeling of stepping back in time. It also retains a firm British flavor, with afternoon tea a must. Go in the right season and you can enjoy whale watching, too.
