Review of Tijuana Mexico TIJUANA
Calling Code: +

It's reputation as a frontier party town goes back to prohibition days. Thirsty US citizens sought out its cantinas and wild nightlife.

The Mexican city we're tracking down is a border town. In fact it's one of the busiest border crossings in the world.

Thirsty US tourists started coming here back in Prohibition days in search of booze and night life. It's easy to get to -- you can hop on a trolley in San Diego and be there in 15 or 20 minutes.

The main street or avenida is usually jammed with tourists from both sides of the border. They're shopping, bar-hopping or snapping photos of the city's famous "zebras". Well, they're really donkeys painted with stripes.

There's an arena known as the "Bullring-by-the-Sea." And the local baseball team is called the "Toros."
