What's it like?
"Wool, a miracle of nature, as old as time yet as modern as tomorrow."
This phrase launched the Agrodome Sheep Show at its inception back in the early 1970s.
The Agrodome Sheep Show includes 19 Champion rams displaying the attributed of
New Zealand's major sheep breeds. Sheep sharing, sheepdog demonstration, cow milking,
and a live sheep auction provide a unique insight into New Zealand and its livestock.
Animal feeding is a not-to-be-missed experience, the one hour farm tour includes
an informative commentary covering many aspects of New Zealand agriculture and
lots of photographic opportunities.
Experience life on a real working farm, sheep, cattle, alpaca, deer, emu and ostrich
along with a horticultural experience including organic kiwifruit, olives and
apples.
The Agrodome experience includes wool carding and spinning demonstrations which
run after each sheep show. The Agrodome Woollen mill displays garments made with
a wide range of animal fibres including sheeps wool, Llama and Alpaca.
Bungy, Swoop, jet boat ides, Helicopter flights, Zorb and Freefall Xtreme offer
all the excitement you can handle.
