Review of Rockhampton Australia ROCKHAMPTON
Calling Code: +61 (0)7

With six bull statues representing the main breeds of the area, there is no doubting to the status of Rockhampton as Australia’s Beef Capital. Naturally Rockhampton offers more than beef. Located on the Tropic of Capricorn, the city is surrounded by coastal and rural landscapes. With its historical architecture and opportunities for both a relaxed, as well as active stay, Rockhampton is a great place to visit.

Gateway to the Capricorn Coast and the Queensland Outback, Rockhampton, is located on the Tropic of Capricorn. Founded in 1853, Rockhampton’s historical architecture shows off the city’s exciting history. Quay Street facing the Fitzroy River has a historic streetscape that is unique in Australia.

Rising out of Rockhampton’s north-eastern suburbs, Mt Archer National Park provides magnificent views of the city, and showcases a spectacular range of native Australian flora and fauna. Frazer Park at the summit of Mt Archer is approximately 604 meters above sea level.
