Name: Passchendaele Farm Holidays
Location: South Burnett QLD Australia

What was it like?
Passchendaele is a working cattle property in Queensland's South Burnett, which has been owned and operated by the one family since 1921.
In typical country style, Ken and Carolyn Stone simply love hosting guests and their farm holidays are legendary.
There are a couple of accommodation options, either staying in the homestead or selecting the cottage with its modern conveniences.
Staying in a lovingly restored original cottage (circa 1938), guests are invited to get involved, but only to the degree with which they are most comfortable.
The all inclusive tariff includes accommodation, meals and activities. Children are at half price. Speaking of the kids, at Passchendaele, the youngsters get to feed the chickens and collect the eggs, milk the cow, go fishing and yabbying, or go spotlighting at night for wildlife.
Unlike some resorts where activities are at an extra cost, at Passchendaele, they are inclusive. These range from camp oven cooking, taking a picnic by the creek, to touring the property in a 4WD. Guided bushwalks to check on the native flora and fauna can also form part of the itinerary.
This place exudes peace and tranquility and is just perfect for a family escape. Just ask the possums, the emus, the plain turkeys or the kangaroos which also call Passchendaele their holiday home.
If you know of some accommodation we're missing,
review it for us!!
