Extending east of the city for 33km, the Otago
Peninsula is a beautiful stretch of rugged coast which houses
both a fascinating collection of rare and native birds such as
the albatross and yellow-eyed penguin as well as the glorious
Otago Harbour. There are numerous walking tracks around the Peninsula
to explore.
