What's it like?
We absolutely loved this place and spent many a night at the bar.
While this place is a hotel, we never stayed, just drank. There is a fabulous courtyard
right as you walk in, with large tables and space heaters in the cooler months.
Inside there is a large fireplace that was always running - yes, Australia gets cold.
And we played backgammon or pool for hours. The staff is all really friendly and the
beers are priced reasonably. They have a bunch of different beers on tap, including Little Creatures
and other local brews,
so you're sure to find something you like. They also have a full range of liquors if you're looking for something a little bit more...
They have a la carte menu available 7 days a week (from 12 -9) which has some pretty good nibbles like
the wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce. mmmm...
On the weekends check out the basement lounge which often features new bands. It's dimly lit
and almost a stark contrast to the Hotel bar, but it's a great place to chill.
