What's it like?
Home to Tennessee Williams and his grandfather in 1951, and Truman Capote's claimed birthplace, the Hotel Monteleone was designated a literary landmark because of its history with countless authors, many of whom have used the Monteleone as a setting in their stories or novels.

Today the hotel exists as its founder, Antonio Monteleone, envisioned it in 1886, a grand meeting place for both the famous and ordinary man.

Located on the world famous Royal Street, Hotel Monteleone is your gateway to the French Quarter and New Orleans, just a block from the sights and sounds of Bourbon Street and world famous Canal Street.
