Review of Cleveland Mississippi CLEVELAND
Calling Code: +1

Better bring your appetite, because Cleveland has plenty of dining, as well as shopping, arts, and Blues. Cleveland is a gem that shines as one of the top 100 small towns in America. You will find its reputation for great food is well deserved and enjoy choosing from its diverse restaurants and eateries.

The Blues tradition is rich throughout the Delta but the roots run deep in CLeveland. The local Dockery Plantation was home to Charley Patton, considered "the Father of the Blues." W. C. Handy is said to have been inspired to write music while listening to a string band here.

Downtown Cleveland delights with its HIstoric Crosstie Shopping District, where you can browse in specialty and antique shops. Pottery lovers should beat a path to McCarty pottery and Peter's Pottery for collectible wares from Mississippi mud.

Check for concerts by world-acclaimed classical and popular artists at the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

Get moving on the hiking trails that take you down to the Mississippi River inside the Great River Road State Park. Go hunting or birding at Dahomey National Waterfowl Refuge.
