What were the accommodations like?
The 324-suite K�rmina Palace Resort has polished the concept of the
all-inclusive vacation by offering special complimentary amenities
like high speed wireless internet access in a spectacular Mayan
kingdom amid the blue waters and jungles of the Pacific Coast in
Manzanillo, Mexico. Lush gardens with tropical flowers, banana trees
and coconut palms surround eight interconnected lagoon-style pools.
Nightly entertainment, 24-hour room service, unlimited food and drink
& a full-service spa (extra cost applies) make K�rmina Palace the
epitome of grand tourism.
Karmina Palace's complete spa is open daily (7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mon to
Fri; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends) and offers a wide range of massages,
wraps, fango and facials as well as special packages for reasonable
prices to hotel guests and outside visitors. One of the recent
additions to the spa menu is the "hot stone massage" treatment which
involves a penetrating deep massage with water-heated obsidian stones
applied to key points of the body to relax muscles and allow
manipulation of greater intensity.
The spa also features a fitness center with a variety of Cybex cardio
equipment and free weights and is overseen by an on-staff personal
trainer who helps guests craft individualized work out regimes they
can continue back home after vacation. The gym has separate his and
hers change areas with secure lockers, showers and steam rooms to
unwind after a tough workout.
Additional poolside antenna boosts wireless internet signal
In December, Karmina Palace introduced an antenna to the outdoor area
of eight interconnected pools that flow over three levels throughout
the tropical landscape of the 10-acre property.
Now the wireless internet signal is stronger than ever, making pool-
side and beachfront surfing of the online, internet kind faster and
easier than before. Service is complimentary to all Karmina Palace
guests and available through a login password given out at the
concierge desk. In addition to the outdoor public areas, meeting
facilities, lobby area and most guest rooms, the new antenna means
people can also surf the net from the three restaurant areas as well.
"Wireless internet is a part of daily life now, and we're committed to
being ahead of the competition by offering it at no extra charge,"
explains General Manager Marcos Casillas. "Not many other Mexican
resorts offer this service so we are leaders in this field. Now guests
