Review of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia KUALA LUMPUR
Calling Code: + 60

Kuala Lumpur symbolizes contemporary Malaysia, with its sleek high-rise buildings, bustling streets, museums and cosmopolitan dining. But you still see echoes of the past in the night market on Petaling Street, heart of the original CHinatown, in the sun reflecting copper domes of the Sultan Abdul Samad building, and in the British colonial buildings in and around Dataran Markets. A walk through the Central Market is an introduction to Malaysian arts and crafts. Here, you'll see demonstrations of batik printing, samples of songket (handwoven silk brocade made with silk yarn and gold or silver threads), shadow puppet plays and fortune telling.
