   As the winter is soon approaching, so too are the winter blues. The perfect way to beat them is by booking a short ski break. With the emergence of more and more hostels in different ski destinations, a break on the slopes is now more and more affordable.

  • New Hampshire’s White Mountains are one of the most popular places to go skiing in New England. Along with downhill skiing and snowboarding, in this resort you can also go snow tubing, ice skating, sleighing, snowmobiling and more.

  • Clair Tappaan Lodge is a mountain lodge nestled in California’s Sierra Nevada. Located at an elevation of 7,000 feet at Donner Summit, the area receives the highest average snowfall of the entire Sierra Nevada range. This makes the area a favorite among those who enjoy partaking in all sorts of winter activities.

  • Interlaken in Switzerland is the gateway to a total of three resorts – Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren. Arguably the most popular is Grindelwald.   • The city of Bariloche is the main stop off point for the Argentinean Patagonia.
