Running through Mt Aspiring National Park, this stretch of road is among the most scenic in
New Zealand, showing off lakes, forests and waterfalls. The road runs from
Haast on the West Coast through
the mountains, past Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea and on to the town of Wanaka. From here you can go south
to Queenstown or over to the East Coast.
