CARLSBAD
Calling Code: +1 (760)
Known as The Village by the Sea, Carlsbad boasts beautiful sandy beaches, three unique lagoons, two luxurious resorts and more than two dozen fine hotels, outstanding shopping districts, world-class sporting events, the only LEGOLAND theme park in the United States, and some 50 acres of flowers that bloom spectacularly every spring in one of the region's most popular seasonal events.
Anchored by Callaway Golf and TaylorMade-adidas, Carlsbad is known as the golf manufacturing capital of the world with over two dozen golf-related manufacturing industries in the city.
Carlsbad is also the ideal destination for outdoor and fitness enthusiasts. The
climate, with temperatures averaging 58F in January and 73F in July, and with
an annual rainfall of only about 10 inches (between December and March) makes
Carlsbad a fitness destination visitors can enjoy virtually all year long.
In Carlsbad, even going somewhere else can be a delightful experience. A drive along Historic Highway 101 is a great way to enjoy the unique character of each coastal community that hugs the north San Diego County coast. Beginning in Oceanside with its famous pier and harbor, the route meanders along the Pacific Ocean through Carlsbad, Leucadia, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, La Jolla, Torrey Pines and into San Diego. It's a great alternative route for those wanting to avoid the infamous Southern California freeway system.
Carlsbad serves up delightful helpings of sun, fun, surf, and lasting memories.
