TOWN OF 1170
Calling Code: +61
The Town of 1770, located between Bundaberg and Gladstone, is being rediscovered, centuries after Captain Cook stopped by for his short break. For decades, as the rest of the Queensland coastline grew in popularity, the Town of 1770 languished. Not that any of the locals ever worried about that.
Many preferred to keep their secret all to themselves, but gradually, the word got out and from just a few shacks years ago, the population has expanded and many holiday-makers are being catered for. There's a range of excellent accommodation and there are those in the district who are more than delighted to share their slice of absolute paradise.
If there's a place you've stayed or something you've done, but we haven't listed, review it for us!
