What's it like?
When they say it is extreme living 7 days a week, they aren't kidding. Many, many, many a night were
spent here as it is located directly under the ACB Hostel.
Drinks are cheap and every night has a different theme and different 2 for 1 tickets... they aren't hard to come
by but are magical as they lower the price of each beer to only $2.50. If you're staying in the hostel, just ask at
reception or be in your room as they are walking around passing them out around 4pm. Just look for the Entertainment Crew
t-shirts.
The music is good and focuses mainly on the latest pop and hip hop records. If you ask a local about Globe Bar,
they'll say it's the worst place you could ever go; on the other hand if you ask a backpacker they'll tell you they
had the time of their lives.
If you're looking for a meat market, this is the place to head. It is primarily a young bar filled with guys on their
OE looking for an easy shag. There'll be plenty of girls looking to take their clothes off for a bar tab and a pretty
good looking bar staff. Don't mess with the bouncers, they are the nicest guys but aren't
afraid to do their jobs.
All in all, we had the time of our lives.
