What were the accommodations like?
You really couldn't be anymore in the middle of the city when you stay at the ACB! Practically on the corners
of Queen and Victoria Streets, the hostel provides access to everything you could want in city life.
The ACB is the largest hostel in New Zealand with over 600 beds yet it seldom feels overcrowded.
Don't get us wrong, the complex is massive and there are always people about, but you don't feel like a stranger... the staff
are super friendly and if you stay long enough will get to know your name.
They offer mixed and single sex dorms, as well as doubles and family rooms, all supplied with sheets. The ACB has thought
of everything: over 30 computers with internet access, travel office, clean self-catering kitchen, large laundry, storage,
and electronic key access to rooms.
No hostel is complete without a bar and boy does the ACB provide! The Globe Bar claims
"Extreme Living 7 Days a Week" and does it's best to provide. Ask for 2 for 1 coupons at reception or grab one of the Entertainment
Crew when they are passing them out in the halls of the hostel.
