Great Barrier Reef Cruises Name: 1770 Great Barrier Reef Cruises
Location: Town of 1770, Queensland Australia
Telephone: +61 7 4974 9077
Wesbite: www.1770reefcruises.com

Describe your experience:
Just a few hours by road north of Brisbane, and only 85 minutes (32 nautical miles) from the Town of 1770, is the Outer Barrier Reef and the true coral cay of Lady Musgrave Island.

This national park is a living, breathing tropical paradise abundant with bird life and Pisonia forests. Set on 3,000 acres of reef, it features a deepwater coral lagoon which is unique to the entire Great Barrier Reef region.

The MV Spirit of 1770 enters the protected waters of the lagoon - a protected haven inviting guests to explore the wonders of a living reef eco-system.

Guests spend up to six-hours on the reef, snorkelling in crystal clear waters, viewing the spectacular coral gardens through the glass bottom boat, island walking plus optional half day or full day reef fishing.

Turtles, humpback whales and manta rays seasonally frequent these waters. Included in the price is a tropical buffet lunch, morning and afternoon teas, as well as snorkelling and fishing equipment.

Departures from the 1770 marina are each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Daily cruises are available during the school holiday season.
