Senate Square
The Senate Square and surrounding buildings form a unique and cohesive example of Neo-Classicism. Three buildings form Senate Square - the Cathedral, Council of State and the University of Helsinki. Nearby is Market Square where, during the summer, stalls selling fruits and vegetables line the area.
Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress
One of the biggest sea fortresses in the world, Suomenlinna was founded in 1748 and is today one of the most popular sights in Finland. The fortress was built on six islands off the coast of Helsinki and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
Linnanmki Amusement Park
Linnanmki has entertained families since 1950. The amusement park has an enormous selection of the latest rides with at least one new one each year.
