Review of international travel to Haiti

The main airport is 13km from the capital Port-au-Prince, on the north side of Delmas. A taxi into town costs US$152-0; a cheaper alternative is to take a taptap.

Some flights and charters fly into Cap Haïtien on the north coast. There are two points of entry on the Haitian border with the Dominican Republic, at Jimani in the south and at Ouanaminthe in the north. There is a departure tax of US$25, usually payable in dollars, and a 10gourdes security tax, payable in local currency.
