The flag of French Polynesia is two narrow red horizontal bands encase a wide white band; centered on the white band is a disk with blue and white wave pattern on the lower half and gold and white ray pattern on the upper half; a stylized red, blue and white ship rides on the wave pattern; the French flag is used for official occasions.


MONEY


TIME
French Polynesia is 13 hours ahead of GMT/UTC; thus when it's noon in French Polynesia, it's midnight in London, 4pm in New York, 2pm in San Francisco, 6pm in Toronto, 7am in Sydney and 10am in Auckland. In the summer French Polynesia observes daylight savings time, setting clocks forward an hour on the last Sunday in October and; clocks are wound back in the first Sunday of the following March.
