A rail pass lets you travel Europe at your pace... It takes you through big
cities, small towns, and villages that might not even get a pinpoint on the map.
If you plan to tour several countries in Europe, a Eurailpass
There are several different types of Eurailpasses available, all of which are
good for unlimited rail travel on the worlds most comprehensive rail network. It is important to note however that Eurail
passes can only be bought by residents of non-European countries, and are supposed to be purchased before arriving in Europe.
Europe's rail network is extensive - it's trains are fast, comfortable, frequent and usually on time. These
factors, however, may vary from country to country as do fares. And remember, European trains sometimes split
en route in order to service two destinations. So even if you know you're on the right train, make sure
you're also in the correct carriage.
Taking the train is an easy way to travel, with frequent departures on busy routes. When you take into account the time
it takes to get out to many European airports, you'll often find the train quicker than flying. This is especially the
case with fast trains such as the Belgian Thalys, the French TGV, the German ICE along with the Eurostar which connects
London to Paris within three hours via the Channel Tunnel. Rather than blow your cash on flying and arrive on the outskirts
of town, you can take the train and arrive right in the centre of the city. Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Milan and Vienna are
important hubs for international rail connections.
Fast trains are identified by the symbols EC (EuroCity) or IC (InterCity).
Here is everything you need to know when it comes to choosing a Eurail train pass. We've also
included the most up to date prices for each ticket to give you an idea of how much it's gonna cost...
