Review of international travel to Dominica

   BY AIR
There are no direct flights to Dominica from outside the Caribbean and so you have to change, usually in Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados or St Maarten, or in the French Islands of Martinique or Guadeloupe.

There are two airports on Dominica: Melville Hall (DOM) and Canefield (DCF). Melville Hall is inconveniently located on the eastern side of the island, 35 miles northeast of Roseau, so it is probably best to aim for Canefield if you can, which is on the west coast, just north of the capital. There is a departure tax of EC$25 and a EC$5 airport security tax.

BY SEA
A couple of ferries touch Dominica on their way from Martinique to Guadeloupe and occasionally through to St Lucia.
