Review of international travel to Cuba
   BY AIR FROM UK
There is now a direct London to Havana flight.

BY AIR FROM EUROPE
Cubana flies to Havana from Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Madrid. Iberia flies from Madrid, while LTU of Germany has a regular service from Düsseldorf.

BY AIR FROM US
Once upon a time, Miami-Havana was the world's busiest international air route. Since 1996, when President Clinton suspended the remaining air link, there have been no direct flights at all. You have to fly via a third country, usually the Bahamas, Jamaica or Mexico.

Before buying a ticket to Cuba, note that most US citizens are still prevented, by Treasury Department regulations, from visiting the island except in specified personal or professional circumstance. Non-US visitors intending to travel from the US must obtains a Tourist Card in advance, which most agencies specializing in travel to Cuba can obtain easily.
