Barbados is geographically distinct from the other islands in the Eastern Caribbean, but it is well served by air. As well as regular connections from Europe and North America, there are easy links to all the islands nearby and Guyana and Venezuela. All air tickets sold in Barbados are supplemented with a 20% government tax.
